In this thought-provoking discussion on the scientific insights found in ancient Hindu texts particularly the vedas, raising questions about ancient seers possessing scientific knowledge far ahead of their time. The panel explore Vedic references (particularly Samaveda) to medicine, mathematics, astronomy, vastu shastra etc. The various disciplines of vedas and the treasure trove of knowledge hidden in Sanskrit texts and renditions of Sanskrit mantras in different traditions are also displayed. Speakers also analyze key shlokas and draw connections between Vedic thought and modern discoveries.

About the Speakers:
Dr. Sivakaran Namboodiri is a Doctor by profession and a passionate Vedic priest who belongs to one of the four families of Samaveda existing in Kerala, particularly known for his expertise in Jaiminiya Samaveda chanting. He is the Chief Physician of Sreedhary Hospital and leading all the activities of the hospital including medicine manufacturing. By his constant efforts and research, he had developed proprietary medicines for Renal Calculus, Allergic Rhinitis, and Diabetes Mellitus.

Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murty is a renowned scholar of Sanskrit and Indian Knowledge Systems, currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati. With postgraduate degrees in Sanskrit, English, Philosophy, Advaita Vedanta, Jyotisha, and Management, and a Ph.D. in Sanskrit, his academic career spans over 40 years. He has mentored 27 Ph.D. and 26 M.Phil. scholars, authored over 55 books and directed a Sanskrit feature film (Hidimba-Bhimasenam). He has received numerous honors including the Sahitya Akademi Award (2016) and has represented Indian scholarship internationally in Russia, Nepal, and the USA.

Dr Girijaprasad Shadangi is a Vedic Scholar and is currently working as Assistant Professor in Samaveda at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati. He received Got Tamrapatra Award for “Samaveda Parangata” Ujjain, (M.P) in 2003. He participated in more than 30 Vedic Conferences and more than 100 Samaveda Parayanas. He published about 17 research papers and edited and published 8 books.

Dr. Duvvuri Phani Yagneswara Yajulu is the faculty in the Department of Krishnayajurveda at the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati
